PhotoWebber is by far the best way to convert Photoshop designs into web pages. It provides a better workflow than all other tools, including ImageReady and Fireworks.

PhotoWebber is Smart
PhotoWebber analyzes a Photoshop file as it imports it. PhotoWebber is looking for button states, popups, and is deciding how this design might need to be sliced and programmed. PhotoWebber is doing the work itself that other packages expect you, the user, to provide. When using PhotoWebber users are never more than 30 seconds away from having a working page. With other packages, users have many hours of hard tedious labor between them and their desired web page.

The Typical Scenario
Import a layered Photoshop file. As PhotoWebber reads the Photoshop file it analyzes the layers looking for rollover states, click states, popup menus, popup graphics, etc.
Spend a few minutes setting hyperlinks on individual buttons, setting the title of your document, decide what format you want your files to be and where you want them to be placed.
Build the page. When it builds the page it outputs all the necessary GIFs, JPEGs, and HTML. Your page is done.

It's So Easy
Sound simple? It is! But does it sound powerful? Well, you will be surprised to discover that PhotoWebber is extremely powerful. Far more powerful, in fact, than ImageReady or Fireworks.

Rollover Buttons with No Effort
Making buttons in PhotoWebber is easier than in any other package.
In Photoshop: make a layer that you want to be a button. Resources
In Photoshop: make another layer, name it the same as your previous layer, but put _r at the end of its name. (For example, your layers might be named Resources and Resources_r)Resources_r
That's it! When you import your Photoshop file into PhotoWebber, it will recognize that one layer is the rollover state for another. Everything else (programming, slicing, compositing) is handled for you. Now it's a button!

Of course, PhotoWebber has a very easy to use button editor, so if you don't want to name layers to specify interactivity, that is fine too.

Popup Menus Made Easy
Rollover buttons are all very well and fine, but what about something a little more aggressive? PhotoWebber also lets you specify mouseclick states (_c), pop up graphics (_p), and pop down graphics (_h) using simple names. But, more than that you can also do full out popup menus that use graphics for menu items, instead of just text.
Resources foot
moon
In Photoshop: make some rollover buttons (see above). Plan for one to be the menu, and the others to be the menu items. At this point, if you were to import into PhotoWebber you would just get three buttons.
Resources_mIn Photoshop: add one layer that is the menu background. Place that layer below the two menu items and be sure it intersects them. Name that layer the same as your trigger layer, but with _m added to its name. (For example, your trigger might be named Resources and your menu background would be named Resources_m)
That's It! When you import this file into PhotoWebber, it will automatically recognize the menu items and build the menu for you. It will handle the programming, slicing, and compositing for you.

PhotoWebber is Powerful
ImageReady and Fireworks can't even do graphical popup menus, and yet with PhotoWebber it could not be easier. And did we mention that all buttons and menu in PhotoWebber can cross frameset boundaries? That the graphics can be any shape? That the menu items do not have to be contiguous? Did we mention that frameset boundaries are simply dragged anywhere onto your document and PhotoWebber will handle the division, slicing, and programming? Did we mention that it supports Flash and QuickTime? There is much more to PhotoWebber than we've mentioned in this short overview. For getting Photoshop designs to the web, nothing compares to the power, ease of use, and elegance of PhotoWebber.

It Willl Change Your Life
Or at least your workflow. Most users use PhotoWebber repeatedly while working on a web design. Since you are never more than 30 seconds away from a web page its easy to experiment, test, and change. This impact alone cannot be underestimated.
